Mock Draft 2024 Bears Trade

Bears Trade Justin Fields Within NFC Also Trade Out of No. 1 Spot But Still Land QB

Bears Keep Justin Fields, Trade No. 1, Jayden Daniels Falls Out of Top 5

The Chicago Bears have made a stunning move, trading quarterback Justin Fields within the NFC and out of the No. 1 spot in the 2024 NFL Draft, but they still managed to land a highly-rated quarterback prospect.

According to multiple reports, the Bears have traded Fields to the Green Bay Packers for a package of picks that includes the No. 12 overall selection. The move comes as a surprise, as Fields has played well in recent weeks and has been a key part of the Bears' resurgence under new coach Matt Eberflus.

With the No. 12 pick, the Bears have selected Jared Verse, a defensive end from Florida State. Verse is considered one of the best pass rushers in the draft and is expected to make an immediate impact on the Bears' defense.

The Bears also traded their No. 1 overall pick to the Denver Broncos for a package of picks that includes the No. 3 overall selection. The Broncos are expected to use the No. 1 pick on C.J. Stroud, the quarterback from Ohio State.

With the No. 3 overall pick, the Bears have selected Jayden Daniels, the quarterback from Arizona State. Daniels was once considered a top-five prospect in the draft, but his stock has fallen in recent weeks due to concerns about his arm strength and accuracy.

The Bears' decision to trade Fields and move out of the No. 1 spot is a bold one, but it could pay off in the long run. Verse is a potential star on defense, and Daniels has the potential to be a franchise quarterback.
