Major League Baseball has released the final draft order for the 2024 MLB First-Year Player Draft, with a few notable changes due to teams exceeding the second surcharge. The New York Mets, San Diego Padres, and New York Yankees have all seen their first picks drop by 10 spots as a result of the penalties.
The 2024 draft will take place in Arlington, Texas, from July 11-13, in conjunction with the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. The draft order was determined by the reverse order of the 2023 regular season standings, with adjustments for teams that received compensation for losing free agents.
