Razorbacks' Defense Proves Dominant in Victory

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Razorbacks made a resounding statement on Saturday as they shut out the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) 45-0 in a non-conference college football game.

Led by a dominant defensive performance, the Razorbacks held UAPB to a mere 136 total yards of offense. They gave up just 41 yards on the ground and forced four turnovers.

Defense's Stellar Performance

The Razorbacks' defense was relentless throughout the game. They recorded seven sacks, eight tackles for loss, and forced four turnovers.

  • Linebacker Bumper Pool led the team with 10 tackles.
  • Defensive end Zach Williams had two sacks.
  • Safety Jalen Catalon intercepted two passes.

The shutout was the Razorbacks' first since 2019 and their largest margin of victory since 2014.

Offensive Highlights

While the defense stole the show, the Razorbacks' offense also contributed to the win. Quarterback KJ Jefferson threw for 180 yards and a touchdown.

Running back Raheim Sanders rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

The Razorbacks improved to 2-0 on the season and will now prepare for a tough conference matchup against Texas A&M next Saturday.
