Former Hawkeye to Begin WNBA Career in Las Vegas

Kate Martin, a former star at Edwardsville High School and the University of Iowa, has been selected by the Las Vegas Aces in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft. Martin, who attended the draft to support her Iowa teammate Caitlin Clark, found herself among the top prospects chosen by the Aces.

Martin was an All-Big Ten Second Team selection in her final season at Iowa and earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award three times. She will join the Aces, who are led by reigning WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson, and look to make a deep run in the upcoming season.
